2 course lunch £3.50 per head

Communty Lunch Poem

I went out for dinner with my mum and dad
At the hall in the village today
A nice crowd of villagers filled up the room
With a smile to brighten the day

The menu was tempting - I hardly could wait
For it sounded delicious to me
3 cheers to the chef, it was good as it looked
And the service superb and for free

Lovely fresh vegetables, chicken in sauce
A dumpling combined with a herb
It went down a treat and I cleaned up my plate
I had seconds - delicious - superb

For pudding, ripe strawberries swimming in cream
With sugar for those who desired
But honestly chef it was just like a dream
There was nothing one could have required

Finished with coffee or tea, what a treat!
With a chocolate and biscuits for all
So I'm making this plea, if it happens each month
Please somebody give me a call
