Two Art Classes
will begin this autumn in the Village Hall. All are welcome.

Painting
Mondays 4-6 (10 weeks beginning 21 September)

An understanding of colour is the basis of all painting. This course works from basic exercises in mixing colour to an appreciation of colour relationships. We will experiment with a variety of media and work with still lives, imaginative themes, landscape and self portraits.

Materials: oil pastels and/or poster colours together with large sheets of paper or a large sketch book. Pencils, masking tape, etc. A drawing board is useful - a piece of hardboard is fine.

Drawing
Tuesdays 7-9 (10 weeks beginning 22 September)

Practice some of the fundamental techniques of drawing. Learn to see as an artist! Suitable for beginners and those in need of structured revision and development.

Materials: large size sketch book or sheets of paper; drawing board; charcoal; crayons; 2B, 4B pencils or other soft tools. Masking tape. Water colours or gouache if you have them.

Each course costs £100.
